Am I Registered to Vote?If you are not sure whether you are registered to vote, use the “Are You Registered to Vote” tool to confirm.

How Can I Register to Vote?If you are not registered, or you have recently moved into the district, you can register online through New York Register to Vote. If you prefer to register in person, you may do so at the Ulster County Board of Elections (79 Hurley Ave, Suite 112, Kingston NY 12401). The whole registration process takes approximately 5 minutes. Applications must be received by the Ulster County Board of Elections no later than June 14, 2025 to be eligible to vote in the June 24, 2025 Primary Election.

Can I Change My Voter Registration Address?Yes. Notices of change of address from registered voters received by June 9, 2025 by an Ulster County Board of Elections official must be processed and entered in the records in time for the General Election.

Can I participate in Early Voting?All voters registered and residing within the Town of New Paltz reserve the right to participate in Early Voting. If you vote during the Early Voting period, you are not eligible to vote on Election Day.

When are Early Voting poll sites open?The locations and hours of Early Voting sites for the June 24, 2025 Primary Election have not yet been published by the Ulster County Board of Elections. This information will become available by May 12, 2025.

Can I vote by mail or via absentee ballot?Yes. To request an absentee ballot by mail, online, by email, or by fax, your absentee ballot application must be received by the Ulster County Board of Elections no later than June 14, 2025. To request an absentee ballot in person, your application must be received by your county board of elections no later than June 23, 2025. To be sure your vote is counted, postmark your absentee ballot no later than June 24, 2025 or hand-deliver your absentee ballot to the Ulster County Board of Elections or your local poll site by the end of the same day.
